I like to play golf- I might have mentioned it ... so much that all 3 offspring were "encouraged" to take lesseons last year. Emma and I are playing at 8:45am with friends and I am looking forward to it. After golf i am having lunch witha friend. The afternoon becomes kidapolooza-dentist,joseph and I believe Mags works.I have been headache free two days and crossing my fingers that it continues.
On to stitching, I promised pictures and here we are. The orange is Quaker Owl and of course Ato Z - both are coming along :)
On to my busy day

Yipee!
Great news here at the Butler's. We are excited to announce Emma got a part in Brighton Beach Memoirs. I am super excited for so many reasons. She will be able to settle in to high school before she starts the acting whirlwind and she worked really hard this role is much deserved.
Report cards are out and all 3 had a great year! Mags and Em both got on the honour roll and Ben meet or exceeded all areas(WOOT!) I don't seem to have any stitching updates. I will try and post something tomorrow.

Still no pictures of stitching sorry...
Well here it is Tuesday and I am tuckered out. I am happy to report the scissor case is done and I have managed to get some stitching done. I will post some pictures tomorrow when I have a day off without kids breathing down my neck to do one thing or another. Here's the update:
Maggie is done her first year of high school. Yippee for her. She is suffering from a cold but seems to be making out just fine with it by sleeping until at least noon.
Emma has gotten two call backs for next season at KAS. She is auditioning for White Christmas and Brighton Beach Memoirs. The call backs are Saturday so cross your fingers for her. We spent two hours with her vocal coach this afternoon so she gets an A for effort.
Ben's party was great. I love the bowling thing as there is no clean up muss or fuss and they serve beer. LOL
I hope to post stitching pics tomorrow but I can't promise as June is such a crazy kid month... It is awesome and I am a lucky gal. I have had a series of migraines again SUCKY! AAAAAHHHHH! It has not been fun. I am looking forward to a good night's sleep and a somewhat peaceful morning--- Oh I can dream can't I...

I don't even know where to begin...
Ok to start it has been a wild wild week! I seem to start all my posts this way don't I. Oh well that is life with the Butler's Here's an update.
Emma- Her last Miracle Worker performance was last night and she was brilliant for the whole 7 minutes she was on stage. She has been double duty between Miracle and Joseph and we are looking forward to one trip to KAS vs two or three in a day. She is off to Vancouver for her class trip Wed and I am glad she is having some down time.
Ben- He had a brillant soccer game Sat. I actually got to see it and he assisted one goal ( would have scored except his own team mate checked him to score lol- good thing the boy in question is his best friend.)
Maggie- Well Mags is gearing up for exams and working 2-3 days a week at the theatre. She is much more comfortable there and seem quite happy.
On the in law health front. David (Phil's brother) is at home now. They have managed to regulate his heart beat to 120 not at all good but better than 140. His mum continues to hang on- I don't know how.
Me- Well I am back at WW and attempting to eat regularly get exercise and generally find some work life balance. I have been off for the past 3 days and have 2 more to go. I have been attempting to have my shoudlers come away from my ears and it is working. I have been doing hot yoga and I like it! I am going to start running again and well as Yoda says "DO OR DO NOT THERE IS NO TRY"
Stitching front- I have almost finished the scissor case that is 2 weeks late on an exchange. I feel terrible as it should have been sent on time , my life just got in the way. I will finish and mail it today I will post a picture later.
On tap for today- Ben is having his birthday party which I am doing on my own because Phil is still working out of town. The girls will help and we are going bolwing so it should be all good. I am stitching and that's about it. I will run after the party. All is good. Better get at the case !

My kind of normal went right out the window...
Coffee check.Pulled Pork in the crock pot check. Stitching check. Coronation Street on the tellie check. Two Aleve check. Update "The Blog of Stitching and Nonsense check ...oops...
When I started this blog it was my thought to keep it upbeat and happy. I wanted to share my stitching and such as well as my fabulous family. I didn't want to post about sad things, epic work issues and illness. Of late it seems that those type of issues have taken over and I haven't been blogging nor have I been able to do much stitching. I want to make a grand statement here and say IT STOPS TODAY ! I really don't think I am being true to myself if I actually say that so let's say instead TODAY IS A STITCHING DAY! Before I stitch here's an update of what's been going here...
Phil's mom (bless her) the tough lady she is is hanging on. She is 64 pounds... I don't know how but she is still with us and awake! Wow! Phil's brother David on the other hand is in heart failure and they are trying to regulate his heart beat before they can operate and fix the damage. This is all happening in Doncaster England and we are here. Phil is in Creston doing a Tim Horton's reno and has been there since Thursday so he is getting update through email and me.
On the Burnham family front(mine) My grandfather died last Friday. He was 92. I have memories of his love for 38 records and a supply of bug juice.
On the work front I won't start! lol
On the health front I have had a set of cluster migraines that have hit me hard, which has made stitching, working out and eating right hard. I am hoping because I woke up without a headache today I am in the clear.CROSS YOUR FINGERS!
Ok- happier things to report. Maggie got a job at a movie theatre SWEET! She started Thrusday night and seems to like it so far. I am thrilled as she was getting expensive lol. Emma is still Miracle Working and in Joseph rehearsals. She is sleeping in a lot more these days. I am very proud of her. Ben scored a goal at soccer yesterday. Woot ! WAY TO GO BEN! Phil is coming home tonight until Friday yippee! I am truly blessed to have a great family. I am off work today and I plan on stitching and of course driving to and fro to various acting and jobs but no work. YAY! Here I am off to work on some stitching and watch some Coro. Hopefully I will post a pic or two later.
